NEW LENOX, Ill. — Munch’s Supply, a Midwest-based HVAC distributor, has acquired Tommark Co. and its six Michigan branches. This acquisition expands the company’s geographic footprint to 24 locations, including 12 Munch’s Supply branches in Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and Michigan along with six O’Connor Co. branches in Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri.

“Tommark has a great team in place, and we look forward to expanding into new product and customer segments,” said Robert Munch, CEO, Munch’s. “We are excited to further develop our company’s presence in the state of Michigan through Tommark’s convenient locations. Superior, award-winning customer service remains our No. 1 priority.”

“This partnership will give our customers access to Munch’s proven and impressive framework that includes enhanced technology and a strong name brand product offering,” said Scott Larson, CEO, Tommark Co.

The acquisition demonstrates Munch’s ongoing commitment to the HVAC marketplace and reinforces its commitment to partner with family and customer service-focused businesses. Munch and Tommark will combine to operate nine branches in Michigan.

“The Larson brothers have done a fantastic job building a solid and successful operation with superior dedication to their family of contractors,” said Munch. “We look forward to working with Jon and Scott Larson and the talented Tommark team.”

“We’re excited to be part of a company with a similar culture that is focused on family values,” said Jon Larson, president, Tommark. “It was important for us to find a partner who cared about our employees as much as we do.”

Munch’s Supply has been operating in the Chicagoland area since 1956. Rotunda Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on lower middle-market and family-owned holdings, acquired a majority stake in Munch’s in 2015.
